Gingerbread Village Taking Shape
Gingerbread Village opens December 2, but houses for the competition are already filling Craft Corner at Conner Prairie. More than 40 houses have been delivered so far! Over the next couple of weeks Craft Corner will be transformed into a winter wonderland filled with unique gingerbread creations built with hard work and creativity. Take a sneak peek at what you will see at this year's Gingerbread Village (December 2-30).

IBJ's Influential Women Award
Conner Prairie would like to congratulate President and CEO, Ellen M. Rosenthal, on being named one of the Indiana Business Journal's Most Influential Women of 2008. Election Day in Prairietown
As you know, Tuesday was the Presidential election, but Friday, November 7, Prairietown is holding an election of their own—Town Fence Inspector. Cast your vote in this important election! Candidates include Mr. Whitaker, Mr. McClure and Mr. Higby or you can nominate your own.  Guests can campaign and even win the election! Polls will open at 10:30 am and close promptly at 11:30 am. Start planning your campaign!

Arts and Arms Making Workshop
The 19th annual Arts and Arms Making Workshop that wrapped up mid-October attracted 77 students from 23 different states including California, Montana, Washington, Vermont and North Carolina. Check out the facilities, students hard at work and some finished products on our Flickr site.
